Richmond, VA—On Friday, July 11, Carytown Cupcakes will reap the benefits of months of hard work to have an existing ABC law amended. After months of paperwork and plenty of legwork, Carytown Cupcakes has finally been granted a limited mixed beverage license. What does that mean? Well, now, instead of having a glass of milk with your cupcake, you can have a glass of wine, beer or Prosecco! Gather the ladies together for a Sunday morning mimosa or come in for a late night dessert and nightcap! Experience the strawberries in your cupcake come alive as you sip a glass of Prosecco or savor the dark chocolatey richness of a chocolate balsamic cupcake as you swish a velvety cabernet in your mouth.
To begin, Carytown Cupcakes will be serving Hardywood and Devil’s Backbone craft beers, Blue Bee cider and Prosecco on tap. For the white wines, a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc will be available, while a Barbera and Cabernet will be available for the red wines.
For Friday’s launch, Carytown Cupcakes will be pairing their Chardonnay with a Cadillac cupcake and their Bolle Felici Prosecco with a Raspberry and Prosecco cupcake. For those who are a little more adventurous, swing by the shop between 5-7:00 pm on Friday or Saturday or on Sunday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm to try a complimentary savory cupcake sample.
